Ability — what does the Fox do?
ThiefFall HarvestSneaks out at night to steal a seed from other players and brings it back to you.
Steal mechanic (live now, verifying in-game):
- At night, every 5-10 seconds a trigger check runs (per-tick chance not yet documented).
- On trigger the Fox travels to a nearby seed; if it cannot reach the seed within 20 seconds, it gives up.
- Once it reaches the seed, the steal takes 3 seconds, then it delivers the seed back to you.
- After a successful steal it enters a 10-second cooldown before checking again; if no steal is attempted on a check, it only waits 3 seconds before rechecking.
- If it is attacked, it becomes immune to further attacks for 75 seconds.
- Players who are inside their own garden or who have no seed in their inventory cannot be targeted.
Variant scaling:
- Big: steals 2 seeds per run, travels at 1.5x speed
- Huge: steals 3 seeds per run, travels at 2x speed
- Rainbow: x1.25 additional multiplier

Overview
Fox is a Mythic thief pet in Grow a Garden 2 released with the August 2, 2026 Fall Harvest wave. Listed at 10,000,000 Leaves with a 0.1% wild spawn chance in Fall Harvest World. Live now as of the Fall Harvest launch (August 2, 2026).
Ability. At night, every 5-10 seconds, the Fox rolls a check to spot a nearby seed and sets off to steal it. If it cannot reach the target within 20 seconds it gives up; if it reaches the seed, the steal takes 3 seconds, then it brings the seed back to you. After a successful steal it enters a 10-second cooldown; if a check does not trigger, it only waits 3 seconds before rechecking. When attacked, the Fox becomes immune for 75 seconds. Players in their own garden or without any seed in their inventory cannot be targeted.
Variant scaling. Big Foxes steal 2 seeds at 1.5x speed, Huge Foxes steal 3 seeds at 2x speed, and Rainbow adds a x1.25 multiplier on top.

Fox vs Raccoon in Grow a Garden 2 — which is the better thief?
Both are top-tier thieves but they steal different things: Raccoon steals fruit and raises your steal limit (Super, 5M Sh, main map). Fox steals seeds (Mythic, 10M Leaves, Fall Harvest only). Fox is 2x pricier and needs a Fall Harvest run, but seeds are a more valuable steal target.
Can the Fox be blocked in gag 2?
Yes. Players who stay inside their own garden or who carry no seed in their inventory cannot be targeted by the Fox. Attacking it also grants the Fox 75 seconds of attack immunity, so shovel-and-kill defense is limited.
