How to complete your first Cornucopia Quest — step by step

Never done a Cornucopia Quest before? Here is the exact sequence of what happens from joining the game to submitting your first quest and unlocking the next one:

  1. Enter Fall Harvest World

    Cornucopia Quests only exist inside the Fall Harvest experience — they do not appear on the main map. Walk up to Explorer Ethan in the middle of Garden Valley and interact with him. Explorer Ethan teleports your character into Fall Harvest World where every crop, gear, guild and inventory slot resets to zero.

    Tip. Warning: your Main World progress (Sheckles, garden, pets) stays untouched — but inside Fall Harvest you start fresh.

  2. Find the Pilgrim at the Pilgrim Stand

    Once inside Fall Harvest World, walk to the Pilgrim Stand — a small wooden stall near the middle of the map. The Pilgrim NPC is the quest giver for the whole event. Talk to him to open the Cornucopia Quests popup.

    Tip. Shortcut: once you have talked to Pilgrim once, the Cornucopia Quests popup can be opened directly from the HUD without walking back to the stand.

  3. Read your first quest — quest 1 is unlocked automatically

    The panel opens with quest 1 unlocked and quests 2 through 5 shown as "Complete Previous Quest to Unlock". Quests are picked randomly from 8 possible types (submit a specific fruit, submit a weight target, submit by rarity, tame pets, steal, grow tall, etc.). A typical first quest looks like "Submit 15 Uncommon-tier fruit" or "Submit 375kg of Maple Bamboo".

  4. Do the quest — watch the yellow progress bar fill up

    Go do the thing. The yellow progress bar on the quest card fills in real time — count-based quests show X/Y (e.g. 15/15), weight-based quests show kg / target kg (e.g. 69.9kg/375kg). Cross-check the crop rarity carefully: submit the wrong tier and it will not count.

    Tip. Fastest strategy: pre-farm 2-3 stacks of Maple Bamboo (multi-harvest, 700 Leaves) — it covers both weight quests AND Rare-tier rarity quests.

  5. Press Submit! to claim the reward

    Once the bar hits 100%, the button on the right of the quest card changes from grey to green "Submit!". Click it. The card flips to Completed!, you get quest 2 unlocks right below. Note: no Cornucopia yet — the crate only drops when you finish all 5 quests.

    Tip. The Cornucopia crate opens instantly on receive. Each crate rolls 5 items — chase drops include Shadow Dragon (0.15%), Ghost Pepper (1%), Amber Cranberry (1%), Rake Crate (3%).

  6. Repeat 4-5 for quests 2 → 5, then wait for daily refresh

    Quests unlock one at a time. Finish quest 2 → quest 3 unlocks. Finish quest 5 → the set is fully cleared for the day. The refresh countdown at the top of the popup keeps ticking; once it hits zero, a fresh set of 5 randomly-rolled quests replaces the completed one and the loop starts again.

    Tip. A cleared set does NOT force an early refresh — the daily reset is on a fixed schedule, so plan your day around one submission cycle.

The Fall Harvest Seed Shop stocks a full 24-crop Maple lineup from Maple Carrot (1 Leaf) up to the endgame Maple Venom Spitter (30,000,000 Leaves). But not every Maple can show up in a Cornucopia Quest:

How to Clear Cornucopia Quests Fast

Quests can demand large volumes (up to 250 units or 800kg of a single crop). Since your Fall Harvest World inventory starts from zero, players who plant early and stockpile Maple crops clear sets much faster. Suggested strategy:

  • Grow Maple Bamboo (Rare, 700 Leaves) — it is multi-harvest, matches the confirmed weight quest (375kg of Maple Bamboo), and one well-fertilized Maple Bamboo plot can clear the biggest weight quests in a couple of hours.
  • Stockpile cheap Common Maples — Maple Carrot (1 Leaf), Maple Strawberry (10 Leaves), Maple Blueberry (25 Leaves). These are your submit-count workhorses for 50-250 target quests.
  • Keep Uncommon Maples ready — Maple Apple (400 Leaves) et al. cover rarity-tier quests like "Submit 15 Uncommon-tier fruit", one of the two confirmed live quest types.
  • Save heavy, mutated crops for weight-threshold quests — 3-15 fruit above 2-5kg. Gold- and Rainbow-mutated crops from Fall Harvest weather events are perfect for this.
  • Have Fall Eggs ready to tame — the tame-pets quest can ask for 5-25 tames. Keep a stack of Fall Eggs hatching so you can burn through this quest quickly.
  • Keep a tall crop growing — the height quest can ask for 20-100 ft. Multi-harvest Rares scaled up with Syrup Sprinkler + Syrup Super Sprinkler are your best shot.
  • Use Magic Mail to preserve high-value crates — Cornucopia crate drops (Shadow Dragon, Ghost Pepper, Amber Cranberry) can be shipped back to Garden Valley with a Magic Mail within the 60-day window.

Why Cornucopia Quests Matter for Fall Harvest

Cornucopia Quests are the first structured quest loop in Grow a Garden 2. Up to this point, all progression has been open-ended — plant, harvest, sell, repeat. Cornucopia introduces:

  • Structured daily objectives that give reason to farm specific Maple crops instead of just the highest-value one.
  • A steady drip of Cornucopia crates — 5 crates per full daily set means 25 rolls per day, giving reliable access to Fall-exclusive drops.
  • A shot at the chase drops — Shadow Dragon (0.15%), Ghost Pepper, Amber Cranberry and Rake Crate are only available through Cornucopia crates.
  • A reason to steal from other players that is not purely griefing — one quest per set can require stealing from 3-15 different players.
  • A grind loop that pushes daily engagement — the sequential unlock + daily refresh means missing a day means missing 25 Cornucopia crate rolls forever.

Combined with the Fall Harvest World, the new Veil mutation, and the Admin Party on August 2, this is easily the largest content wave in Grow a Garden 2 since launch.
